WHAT IS COMMON GROUNDS?
At The Refuge, we’re confident in our God-given purpose to serve and proclaim Jesus on the campus of LSU. What better way to do that than offer a place to study and provide specialty drinks and snacks to college students?
Common Grounds Cafe is a ministry of The Refuge that serves as a space for students to study, gather, and ultimately be exposed to the love of Christ. Numbers of students have been introduced to Jesus and His gospel through a friend simply inviting them to study or have coffee at Common Grounds.
Common Grounds serves coffee, tea and novelty drinks throughout the week, but the space is open for studying or meeting any time throughout the workday. We do not charge for drinks, but we have a suggested donation of $1 for small drinks and $2 for large drinks.
With a cozy and inviting atmosphere, great coffee and sweet treats, Common Grounds is a perfect place to study, hang out with friends, or meet new people.
Sunday-Thursday, 6-10 p.m.
Students can volunteer at Common Grounds by taking a two-hour weekly barista shift. Adults and students with a heart to serve can also bring desserts to Common Grounds once per month via our Dessert Team.
Our address is 3355 Dalrymple Dr., Baton Rouge, LA 70802. We are located right next to The Chapel, and parking is available behind the building.
If you’d like to serve as a barista, join the dessert team, or give to the mission of Common Grounds, send us an email at email@example.com.
